Thanks to a flare as of yesterday I'm now on triple therapy - the MTX, Sulfasalazine and Hydroxychlorine combo.
I'm so grateful to my Rheum team - I was seen withing days of asking for help ad we have a plan now. My Rheumy has even mentioned puting me on anti-TNF's if this combo doesn't work so I'm feeling pretty good about the future.
The only downside is I've had to increase the prednisolone again - I'm back up to 10mg a day and I really wanted to get off it! My Rheum assured me this is a short term measure though.
Has anyone else tried this combo? Did it work for you?

Hi Ju,
So glad you got seen quickly ... I also have a fantastic Rheummy team and I think it can make all the difference in the world!
I take MTX and Hydroxy together with Rituximab and noticed a big improvement when the Hydroxy was added so I hope you will see some benefits too soon.
Hope the flare dies down soon!

Hi,
I really hope and pray this combination (which is the most popular for RA) will help you and calm down the RA..
Much love,

Thank you all so much for your kind replies. The flare is still up - I saw my GP today who signed me off until Tuesday but seemed to think that maybe I wouldn't be ready to go back by then. I'm so tired and feeling really rather pathetic - will put my feet up with telly and a cuppa this afternoon I think, resting with a job and two children under the age of five is tough so I should take advantage of them being in nursery this afternoon! Hope you are all well. Ju x

Aw,. Ju,
I really sympathise! It is extremely draining with such young children, mine are slightly older now (although more of them!) and when they were all under five it was VERY hard work!
Going to Tescos alone was like having a luxury holiday!
Much love,
Amanda

Amanda - I LOVE going to Tesco's by myself - especially now there's a Starbucks in my local branch!
